We are glad to inform you that we are starting an Open Education School from June 2018. Here is a brief introduction about Open Education.

Open education is a philosophy about the way people should produce, share, and build on knowledge.

Proponents of open education believe everyone in the world should have access to high-quality educational experiences and resources, and they work to eliminate barriers to this goal. Such barriers might include high monetary costs, outdated or obsolete materials, and legal mechanisms that prevent collaboration among scholars and educators.

We learn from our experiences. In fact, there is no other way we can learn. For example, a child might learn to be wary of touching a stove after burning her fingers on a hot plate that had been used recently.

By engaging in formal, guided, authentic, real-world experiences, individuals:

– Deepen their knowledge through repeatedly acting and then reflecting on the action.

– Develop skills through practice and reflection.

– Support the construction of new understandings when placed in novel situations.

– Extend their learning as they bring their learning back to the classroom.

When we talk of experiential learning, introduction to robotics plays a major role.
